Providence Behavioral Health Hospital provides the only specialized inpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents in Western Massachusetts.
This service provides age-specific treatment for children and adolescents ages
4-18 on two distinct units. These programs offer comprehensive psychiatric assessment,
stabilization and short-stay intensive treatment. The unit's interdisciplinary team provides
family, individual and group-focused treatment that incorporates psychiatric,
psychosocial, medical, behavioral, nursing and educational evaluation and intervention.
