Picture yourself better at Mercy
Mercy Medical Center’s Diagnostic Imaging department has added the new advanced 3.0T MR System from GE. Utilizing the latest diagnostic tools is key to helping physicians reach a definitive health care plan for each patient.
Even those patients who are the most difficult to examine with conventional MR approaches can now be easily imaged and diagnosed right here at Mercy Medical Center. The new GE Healthcare Signa HDx 3.0T MR system recently installed at Mercy is the world’s most advanced 3.0T MR scanner. It delivers highly detailed images of the human body with increased speed, better resolution and unique applications. By adding it to Mercy’s Diagnostic Imaging department’s health care arsenal, we can provide a more comfortable and successful experience for our patients.
One feature of the Signa HDx 3.0T MR system is the ability to do dual breast scanning. In the time it normally takes to image just one breast, we can now image both breasts simultaneously. The system also tolerates patient motion very well during brain scans, which reduces retakes. It helps us obtain more detailed and accurate images of the spine, and it greatly facilitates liver and vascular exams.
The addition of the Signa HDx 3.0T MR system complements and extends the range of quality diagnostic services that we offer residents of the community. It provides Mercy with vastly improved image quality and imaging speed, and enhances the overall diagnostic confidence.
