The Weldon Rehabilitation Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
Weldon is the only area hospital accredited by CARF for its comprehensive integrated rehabilitation program (adults and pediatrics) for coordinated and integrated medical and rehabilitation services provided 24-hours a day.
CARF is an international third party accreditation system that currently accredits approximately 5,000 organizations that compromise approximately 38,000 programs. Weldon Rehabilitation is one of five hospitals in Massachusetts with this accreditation.
The CARF accreditation is the hallmark of our commitment to the highest rehabilitation care standards. We are proud to be a part of CARFs 40-year tradition of excellence.
Our outcomes are reliable and valid based on credentialing of all licensed staff through UDSmr.
In 2004, CARF with support of the national stroke association developed a set of standards called the stroke specialty program (SSP). These Stroke rehabilitation programs bearing the CARF accreditation will ensure that these standards of care are met. The SSP is the next major step to improve short-term and long-term outcomes of stroke survivors and allow them to live the most enriching and fulfilling lives as possible.
Along with CARF's accreditation, Weldon is proud to be accredited in the stroke specialty standards of care since 2010.
