Payment
We will assist you by filing your insurance claims after each visit. We will also assist in obtaining the pre-certifications that are
required for diagnostic testing, surgery or second opinions.
We accept most insurance plans, including PPOs, HMOs, Workers Compensation, and Medicare. Please check with your insurance to verify our participation in your plan prior to scheduling your appointment. You are responsible for paying any claims that are not covered by insurance. If your insurance plan requires a physician
referral authorization number, bring that with you or have it called in to us ahead of time. We also ask that you pay any co-payment required by your insurance carrier at the time of your visit.
Medications
You may be given prescriptions and instructions for medication necessary for your treatment. If you have a problem with a medication or need a refill and are not planning an office visit,
please call us during office hours so we can assist you.
- Prescription refill requests should be made two to three days before your last dose. We will call you if the prescription cannot be refilled or if we have questions. Narcotic pain medication
cannot be prescribed by the on-call physician.
Emergencies
If you have a medical emergency after office hours, please go to the Mercy Medical Center Emergency Room or nearest hospital. Be
sure to give the name of your physician from our practice, so that the hospital emergency physician can contact us about your condition. The NENA on-call physician can be contacted through the answering service.
