Community Benefits

Mercy Medical Center is pleased to present the 2013-2015 Community Benefits report as an overview of our service to the Western Massachusetts community and our commitment to being a transforming health presence in the work we do daily. This service is founded in our Mission Statement and cores values of Reverence for each person, Community, Justice, Commitment to those who are poor, Stewardship, Courage and Integrity.

A Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) was conducted for the determined geographic areas served by the hospital as outlined in the requirements of Section 501(r) of the Internal Revenue Code. The CHNA is published on the Mercy website at MercyCares.com and is available for hard copy through the Mercy Community Benefits Department. Also included in this process is the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) and is available both on our website and in hard copy. We invite you to read this document and view the impact of Mercy Medical Centerís programs and experience the mission of the Sisters of Providence Health System in our community for over 130 years.
